How old do you have to be to book a hotel or resort in St. Augustine, Florida?

Me and a few friends want to go to St. Augustine for our march break. We are Grade 12 Students in Ontario, Canada, there are five of us and only one of us will be 18 by the time March Break comes around. The rest of us will only be 17. One of the guys moms is going to let us use her visa to book the room, so technically the room is under her name, but it will just be us five students on the trip. Will we be able to book the trip succesfully or not? Thanks, answers would be highly appreciated! How old do you have to be to book a hotel or resort in St. Augustine, Florida?
it is a florida state law that requires you to be 21,I urge you to call the motel and ask,I have lived in florida for 20 years when my son graduated and had moved out on more then one occasion i had to rent rooms for him ,so again it is the lawHow old do you have to be to book a hotel or resort in St. Augustine, Florida?
These Saint Augustine hotels allows 18 year old to checkin. Any one 18 can book the hotel and take the others with him.

18. go to BookMe. You can compare prices on all the major travel sites from one location. It's the only way you can guarantee the best deals for the best hotels for your money online.
You have to be at least 18 years old to book a hotel room so you'll be fine so long as it's the 18 year olds booking and checking in at the hotel.

However, if you're using the mother's visa and she isn't there to check in with you, the hotel will require a credit card authorization check. The mother/cardholder will have to call the hotel, speak with the reservations manager, and then fax a credit card authorization form ... this can sometimes be done ahead of time by calling the hotel and informing them of this, which is what I would recommend so as to avoid any complications upon arrival at the hotel. This is required because the person checking in generally has to match the name of the card holder that paid for the room. If the name/ID of the person checking in does not match the name of the person who has booked the room, most hotels will require the credit card authorization form and they will not allow the person checking in to have access to the room until that is done.

It is very important to *call* the hotel beforehand to check their policy regarding this. Other than sorting that out, you're all set to go.

I should also add in case you're not already aware - anyone who is under under the age of 18 and is planning to cross an international border with someone who is over 18 without their parents, *must* get a letter of consent from their parents. This applies to ALL of the persons under 18, meaning each person under 18 will need a signed letter of consent from their parents that clearly states they have permission to travel outside of the country with a person over the age of 18 that is not related to them. These letters of consent need a signature of notary as well.

A letter of consent form that can be printed is available here: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/2482679/Lett鈥?/a>

Hopefully this helps. Have a fun + safe trip.
