I am staying at a Holiday Inn after the cruise, but am looking for a closer one to the pier for the day we fly in.I will be on a cruise from venice in aug and am wondering if others can recomend a hotel close to pier?
It will be a little bit difficult to get a hotel really close to the pier, because the harbor is a big industrial place.
Venice is not that big, so it will take you not that long to get to the pier. The shortest way will be from the ferrovia (railway station) or Piazzale Roma ( bus stop from the airport and big parking place for cars) with a taxi boat ( 10 minutes or so...). They are a loooot of hotels in the surrounding of the ferrovia.
