NYC Hotel - I need a hotel in the middle of everything like Times Square?

I am helping to organize a NY trip for school. What is a good hotel that is reasonably priced in NYC that is within walking distance to many attractions. I personally would prefer a hotel on Broadway.NYC Hotel - I need a hotel in the middle of everything like Times Square?
I was in NYC this summer with my parents. We stayed at the Millennium Broadway hotel- the location was AMAZING. It's pretty much in times square and it has these huge floor-to-ceiling windows, and at night you can see all the lights from outside. We reserved it on priceline.com for like 120 dollars a night.NYC Hotel - I need a hotel in the middle of everything like Times Square?
I recommend the Marriott Marquis - it's right in the heart of Times Square, on Broadway. It is not super-pricey, and I'm pretty sure you would get a good discount for booking a group. The hotel is really cool on the inside, with multiple glass elevators overlooking an interior courtyard. The decor is a bit 70's, but overall great location and great views.
It's really not necessary to stay in Times Square where the hotels are very expensive and the restaurants serve mediocre food for high prices. The subway is fast, cheap, and safe so you can easily travel around Manhattan so no need to limit yourself to the Times Square area.





My suggestion would be to go to tripadvisor.com and type New York City in the search box. Then click on forum and ask your question there. There are many people on there who give great advice and can readily help you.

You should know that hotels in close proximity to Times Square rates will be tend to be higher than if you go out a mile or two.
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
