Can an 18 year old rent their own hotel in California without parental permission?

and pay in cash? Can an 18 year old rent their own hotel in California without parental permission?
Someone is going to prom. Be safe. Yes, you can, if they do not require a credit card deposit. Have fun.Can an 18 year old rent their own hotel in California without parental permission?
Legally yes, though I am not sure the hotel will agree to rent to an 18 years old. They are likely at the least to require a credit card or a hefty deposit, because, not unfairly, they may find that 18 year olds who rent hotel rooms sometimes have extremely noisy parties and trash the room...

But you have the legal right to make a contract and there is nothing in the law that would prevent them from renting to you if they are so inclined. I'm pretty sure they can't refuse because you are 18 but you can count on the deposit or credit card thing most places. Oh, also you will have to produce ID to rent.
typically yes, BUT some hotels require you to be 21. so its possible you cant BUT most of the time 18 is just fine
yup... however ill-advised it may be.
