What are the differences between Mandaly Bay & The Hotel?

Tring to decide on one for later this month....it would be for a couple.What are the differences between Mandaly Bay %26amp; The Hotel?
THEHOTEL is a bit more luxerious than Mandalay Bay, but they both have access to the same amenities and hotel facilities.

Mandalay Bay is the hotel casino while The Hotel is a hotel attached to the Bay. There is also the Four Seasons Hotel attached. You can enjoy staying at any of them, but have to be in the Bay to gamble. Do you want to just go down the elevator to the casino or do you care if you have a walk (indoors)? That should be what decides for you.
The Hotel is awesome. Their standard rooms are 700 or so sq. ft. suites with marble bathrooms. There is a powder room in addition to the main bath which has a soaking tub with a separate shower, double vanity sink. Three flat screen TVs, one in the living room, one in the bedroom and one on the bathroom wall. Although it can be pricey, you can get some real deals if you are flexible as to when you want to go. Just booked a trip to there over Thanksgiving week for $149 per night.

Truthfully... there isn't a difference Mandalay Bay was built, the decided to build a second tower, so they name it ';The Hotel';. Just like Wynn built a second tower and named it ';Encore';.
