Which hotel is the best to stay at in Disney world?

I'm looking for an amazing experience for under $300 night? Which hotels have private accesses to the theme park? This is my first trip to disney world and I want it to be perfect.

and while I'm at it.......for all of you who have gone...........what is the best ride over all, including universal studios and disney world? Thanks!Which hotel is the best to stay at in Disney world?
I like the Yacht or Beach club. You can walk or ride a boat to Epcot or The Studios. It also has the best pool out of all the other Disney hotels IMOWhich hotel is the best to stay at in Disney world?
I like the beach and yacht clubs--but i don't think you can get them for under 300. If you need to be under 300 I would try the contemporary--it has the monorail which can get you to magic kingdom and epcot. I don't particualarly like the theming of this hotel, but is most convenient. I personally like the monorail and stay at the Polynesian--it is a little over 300. It was totally worth it, has a great food court, pool is nice--can watch fireworks from the beach at night.

As far as rides--if you like thrill rides--Universal--if you are going for Nostalgia--Disney---favorite ride--Spiderman at IOA--Universal~~~~have fun!!
Depending on when you are going, you may want to consider the new Bay Lake Towers which has rooms that overlook the Magic Kingdom. While you would not normally be able to get a room for under $300 a night you can easily get under that rate by ';renting mouse points.'; That is, buying Disney Vacation Club points from DVC owners who are renting them. For that matter you can also get into the Beach Club much cheaper this way than by simply going through a travel agent or Disney.
What do you mean by private access? Staying at any WDW resort, from the value to the home away from home, qualifies you for access to the extra magic hours. EMH are special hours were only WDW resort guest are allowed access to a designated park.

If you mean a private entrance, no park at WDW has a private entrance into any of the parks.

If you are asking about resorts that have a private park, Beach Club and Yacht club have a private water park.
I agree with the others, the beach club is awesome for there pool, and your just across the lake from the boardwalk, which is really a nice hotel to visit in the evening.

My favorite ride: Epcot's Soarin, go early and get a fast pass, they go quickly... it is amazing!!

There are a ton of great rides at all the parks take advantage of the fast passes, they save you alot of time.
Yes I agree with the Beach Club, the pool is awesome (sand bottom) and is really close to Epcot. Walk there from your hotel in a few minutes. Clean, bright and an excellent dinner buffet!
pop century
Each of the hotels offer unique experiences and with the exception of a few, you should have no problem booking at under 300.00 a night.

If you stay at the Yacht and Beach club resort, you can go to the docks and get a rather nice view of the nightly fireworks display at Epcot. I believe there is also a trail there where you can walk to either Hollywood Studios or Epcot (or maybe both). There is also ferry service to at least one of those parks.

I am a fairly thrifty traveller, but if I could spend the money without guilt, my choice would be the Animal Kingdom lodge with a savannah view room. Imagine waking up and stepping onto your balcony and seeing giraffes, elephants, etc, roaming just outside your window.

Fort Wilderness is very nice. They have the Trails End Buffet which in my opinion is the best buffet on the entire Disney property. You can also horseback ride, laze on the beach in a hammock, or attend Mickey's Backyard Barbecue complete with character appearances and line dancing lessons! There is also a Magic Kingdom ferry that services the area.

As a thrifty traveller I have found no fault in the All Star Resorts. They have nightly poolside activities, frequent bus service, on site arcade, etc.

Port Orleans has a ferry that goes to the Downtown Disney Marketplace. They also rent out surrey bikes which we enjoyed. A neat bit of trivia about Port Orleans is that Disney uses a substance in the river water here to make it appear black, just as it would in a Louisiana bayou.

ALL Disney resorts offer bus service to the parks. Each resort has it's own buses that go directly from the parks to your resort and vice versa, so no worries about having to stop at multiple resorts before arriving at yours. The only exception is the All Star Buses which will stop at each of the 3 all star resorts, but that is only a total of 3 stops and they are less than a minute from one another. Contemporary Resort, The Grand Floridian, and the Polynesian Resort all have stops along the monorail.

In all honesty, I don't think you are going to be disappointed no matter which Disney resort you choose!

The best ride depends on what you like. Most people are probably going to go for the coasters, but as for me I love the Haunted Mansion and the Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom, Soarin' and the American Adventure show at Epcot, The Great Movie Ride at Hollywood Studios, and the Safari at Animal Kingdom.

Well the only hotels that have private access to a theme park is the Yacht Club and the Beach Club. You will however have a hard time getting in there for less than $300 a night. However, they are running a special right now for june thru oct you get FREE DINING when you stay at least five nights. That usually saves about $500 per person. You get an entree, dessert and a non-alcoholic drink at one table service and one counter service restaurant in any Disney park or property, as well as two snacks per day. So if you add in the savings on food, you may be able to do it. That special is here: http://bookwdw.reservations.disney.go.co鈥?/a>

The Polynesian, The Grand Floridian, and The Contemporary resorts have monorails that go thru or next to the resort and connect to The Magic Kingdom and the Ticket and Transportation center where you can switch over to a monorail to Epcot. All three of these as well as the Wilderness Lodge have a boat that takes you directly to the Magic Kingdom as well. I have stayed several times at the Grand Floridian but it and the Polynesian are over $300 a night for a standard room. However, they have built a new tower at the Contemporary Resort so some of the older rooms on the edges of the resort are in the $279 a night range. Also, the Wilderness Lodge is a deluxe resort, but is priced in the $279 range as well.

There are some specials left on room rates if you can travel before early june here: http://bookwdw.reservations.disney.go.co鈥?/a>

I have stayed at all of the moderate resorts and they are also quite nice. Most are in the $149 a night range. If you're into nightlife, you may wanna stay at the Port Orleans Riverside (I don't recommend French Quarter, just not as well themed IMO) because it has the boat directly to Downtown Disney which is connected to Pleasure Island.

If you want a really cool and amazingly different experience with the same boat to Downtown Disney, and you're traveling with several others who don't mind sharing a place, look into the TREEHOUSE VILLAS at Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. They are individual treehouses 10 feet off the ground with a large outdoor deck in a gorgeous wooded area. There are three bedrooms (queen master w/bath, queen bedroom, twin bunks bedroom, queen pullout sofa and 2nd bathroom) kitchen and large living room. They have just re-done them and they're supposed to open this summer.

If you can afford it, I would say to stay at the Grand Floridian, Contemporary or Polynesian on the monorail. You can get to TWO parks easily, never getting on a bus, and if you've never been to the MK, you'll wanna be able to hop back over in the evening since it stays open late.

My fave rides in Disney are Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom, Aerosmith's Rockin Rollercoaster at Hollywood Studios, Mission Space (full experience side - don't wimp out) and Soarin. At Universal Studios, the Incredible Hulk made me sick the first time I rode it. I didn't hurl, just felt like it. I also like the Spiderman ride, The Terminator experience, and both the whole Medieval Village area and Seussland...there is a Dueling Dragons coaster in the Medeival Area. Also don't miss the Men In Black ride. It's fun to try to outshoot your friends.

Also, if you're flying, make sure you sign up for the complementary Magic Express Bus service where you never have to touch your luggage again, OR you can even get a Limo!

I hope you have a blast!! We're going in Sept and staying at the Wilderness Lodge. We can't wait!!!
