You may go to Guangzhou East train station by taxi,and then go to Hongkong by train ,and then you could there by metro in Hongkong.it could take you to Kowloon,Tsim sha Tsui easily .

when i was five, i took a taxi to the port and then took a boat to hong kong. it was scenic. but if you want speed, take the train. also, you can ask the lobby dude at the garden hotel the best way to get there.
There is a train you can take. It takes about 3 hours
